The drug tablets are packaged with aluminum-plastic strip composite film

StripPackaging, or SP (stripPackaging), is mostly used for some larger dosage forms of drug tablets or drug tablets that are uv sensitive, hygroscopic, heat and cold resistant, and require a long period of validity and improved packaging.

It is a kind of unit packaging form (single sheet packaging or small package in rows) formed by using two layers of pharmaceutical strip packaging film (SP) to clip tablets in the middle and keep a certain distance between each drug. The inner side of the two layers of SP film around the drug is thermally sealed on the strip packaging machine.

Strip packaging is continuous operation in strip packaging machine, especially suitable for automatic bulk packaging.

When taking medicine, the SP film can be torn along the tooth mark.

Strip packaging film, with a certain tensile strength and elongation, suitable for all shapes and sizes of drugs, and packed tightly inside the drug, not easy to produce breakage and wrinkles.

Is now in general use are aluminum-plastic composite membrane, such as glass paper and aluminum foil and polyethylene composite (PT/AL/PE), polyester and aluminum foil and polyethylene (PET/AL/PE) composite, the aluminum foil and plastic film with adhesive laminated composite or composite extrusion, the grassroots, printing, high barrier layer and sealing layer of grassroots, heat sealing layer, high barrier layer, the printing is located in the middle.

The basic material is required to have excellent mechanical properties, good gloss printing, good transparency, high barrier performance, safe, non-toxic, and no heat sealing.

Typical materials are polyester (PET), cellophane (PT), and cellophane coated with PVDC.

High barrier layer to gas barrier performance and moistureproof, not through bacteria and microorganisms, good mechanical properties, a certain degree of elongation, cold and heat resistant, safe and non-toxic, its typical material is soft aluminum foil.

But this soft aluminum foil is opaque, does not rust itself, strong shading.

If transparent strip packaging film is needed, PVDC should be used as high barrier layer material.

As a high barrier layer material, PVDC is characterized by its excellent barrier performance to gas and water vapor.

Sealing layer is the inner layer of strip packaging film, with excellent heat sealing, chemical stability and safety and health, generally using low density polyethylene materials.

The choice of compound film for pharmaceutical packaging by pharmaceutical enterprises depends on the nature of the drug (dampness, oxidation, retention of taste, etc.) and its shelf life. It is mainly based on the quality characteristics required by the drug and combined with the characteristics of the compound product. The following are the characteristics of several compound films for reference:

A. Common composite film: the composite structure is composed of PET/AL/PE with polyester and aluminum foil. It is characterized by good printing adaptability and good gas and water barrier property to drugs.

B. Pharmaceutical strip easy to tear composite film: the composite structure is composed of cellophane, polyethylene and aluminum foil (PT/PE/AL/PE).

Characteristic is: have good easy tear sex, convenient consumer takes the product.

Good gas, water vapor barrier, to ensure a long shelf life of the content.

It is suitable for the packaging of effervescent agent, coating agent, tablet capsule and other medicines.

C. Paper aluminum-plastic composite film: the composite structure is composed of paper, polyethylene and aluminum foil (paper/PE/AL/PE), characterized by good printing and good stiffness.

It has good barrier property to gas or water and can guarantee long shelf life of medicine.
