The history of HDPE

HDPE is a thermoplastic polyolefin formed by copolymerization of ethylene.

Although HDPE has been around since 1956, the plastic has yet to reach maturity.

The versatile material continues to develop new USES and markets.

High-density polyethylene is usually manufactured by ziegler-Natta polymerization. Its characteristic is that there is no branched chain on the molecular chain, so the molecular chain is arranged in a neat way and has a high density.

The polymerization is initiated in a tubular or caldron low pressure reactor using ethylene as raw material and oxygen or organic peroxides as initiators.

High density vinyl is an environmentally friendly material that can be recycled after heating to the melting point.

Instructions can be as big of plastic raw materials are divided into two categories: "Thermoplastic" () Thermoplastic and Thermosetting plastic "(Thermosetting), Thermosetting plastic is heated to a certain temperature to curing condition, even continue to heat cannot change its state, therefore, products with environmental problems is the Thermosetting plastic products such as tires, is not" Thermoplastic plastic products (such as plastic pallet note: pallet in Hong Kong and Macao is called "plywood"), so not all the "plastic" are not environmental protection.
